Three Forums Discuss about Car GPS DVD

If you intend to buy a Car GPS DVD, Three Forums Discuss about Car GPS DVD for reference.

If you buy the ESRI map, the first update is free. They normally update once a year. I think after the first year 2 Din car dvd player will cost you 1,200 baht to update. The latest version is 8.1. They do a pretty good job with the roads but the waypoints are NOT up to date. It's not a big deal because you can add your own waypoints and your GPS will remember and keep them.

Version 8.1 has the newest Bangkok bridge on the map. Earlier versions do NOT have the Kanchanaphisek Bridge. Outdated maps will still get you where you want to go but it may be a much longer route.

I haven't leased a Car MP3 fm transmitter in a number of years. The few times I have, I worried about this type of thing. Especially the wear and tear to the bed of a pick-up truck I leased. However, I never had a single issue/complaint from the dealership upon returning a leased vehicle.
